Headline (Print advertisement)
Words in the leading position of the advertisement; the words that will be read first or are positioned to draw the most attention. Headlines are usually set in larger, darker type and are often set apart from the body copy or text portion of the advertisement to give them prominence. Most advertising people consider headline most important part of a print advertisement.

PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR PRODUCTS

A description alone is not going to sell your products so it is important to invest in a decent camera and lighting set-up that will enable you to take suitable photographs of your products.

Photography is a huge subject but it is not necessary for you to become the next David Bailey or to learn a digital photo editing program to a professional standard. The minimum you will need is a ‘light tent’ with twolights. I use an integrated studio system called Photosimile from www.emedigital.co.uk, whereby the camera, which is a slave to the computer, operates within a custom-built light box. The editing software enables the fast production of professional-looking web photographs.

Business versus hobby

Your final, completed tax return for the year is due on
April 15. It will show your total tax liability minus the four
prepayments that you have already made. If it turns out that
you owe a small additional amount, that must be paid when
you file the return. (If for some reason you have overpaid,
you can request a refund or carry the extra amount forward
to be applied to next year’s tax liability.) As a self-employed
businessperson, you need to use the federal long form 1040
(and the state long form as well) and include the following
attachments:

barrier to entry

noun a factor that makes it impossible
or unprofitable for a company to try to
start selling its products in a particular
market (NOTE: Barriers to entry may be
created, for example, when companies
already in a market have patents that
prevent their goods from being copied,
when the cost of the advertising
needed to gain a market share is too
high, or when an existing product commands
very strong brand loyalty.)

BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand)

This has to do with effluent from
manufacturing plants and local environmental laws. Because some types of
microorganisms can metabolize hydrocarbons and other flavor effluent
materials, a bacterial bloom may occur in the presence of chemical or nutrient
rich waste products. This bloom, unnatural as it is, will need much oxygen
to flourish, taking away available oxygen from the fish. Therefore, a high
BOD will usually result in a fish mortality event
